Bumps to Babies Volume 1 | Page 8

THE BIG DAY BEFORE YOUR SESSION The day of your Maternity shoot has arrived and we hope you’ve had a great night’s sleep and are feeling well rested! We recommend you have a relaxing day before your session and not rush around too much. Why not go out and get a manicure and have your hair blow-‐dried at your favourite salon! If you’re feeling a little tired and achey at this point in your pregnancy why not book in advance to get a fabulous pre-‐natal massage on your session day to ease away those aches and pains! If we are photographing at a beach or park please arrive at the location on time as shoots are scheduled around the best time of day for flattering lighting and we don’t want to miss any of it! Also don’t forget to bring along your extra change of clothes for some variety in your images! We’ll take a little break and find a bathroom for you to get changed in when it’s time for a wardrobe change. If we are photographing the session in your home it’s great if the spaces we are likely to shoot in are decluttered. The rooms I shoot in will depend on where the best light is but these are usually the living areas, master bedroom and even baby’s nursery if it’s ready. I will often move a few things around in these rooms to create the right look for your photos, but I will put everything back before I leave and won’t move anything without asking first. DURING YOUR SESSION My goal for the session is to get to know you and your partner and capture your relationship and excitement for your new baby! Direction will be given in order to showcase your gorgeous bump but I will also be capturing the sweet ‘in-‐between’ moments when you and your partner are just enjoying each other‘s company or giggling about the things I am asking you to do! Maternity sessions are so much fun and all I ask is that you trust in me and we are sure to capture some amazing images for you to treasure forever. IT’S A WRAP! At the completion of our session you will probably be feeling a little tired! Posing can be hard work when you’re eight months pregnant! Now you can relax, put those feet up and look forward to receiving your images in three weeks time! 7 KIRSTYMCKAYPHOTOGRAPHY KIRSTYMCKAYPHOTOGRAPHY 8
