Save the date in your diary – Saturday 16th June - Magna Carta Gymnasium, Egham

We know that our sales are important to you and we’re pleased to announce that thanks to new volunteers stepping forward we’re able to bring you another Nearly New Sale (NNS). At a NNS it’s a case of many hands make light work and everyone has specific roles so if you’d like to help us please get in touch and you can be part of a team that helps the day run smoothly for everyone.

There are 3 ways to benefit from one of our sales, so are you going to be a seller, buyer or volunteer – perhaps you could do all 3!

Become a seller

If you’ve never sold anything at one of our sales before – it’s probably easier than you think!

Step 1: Check out the sellers pack on our website https://www.nct.org.uk/branches/staines-ashford-egham for lots of useful information about how to become a seller and the costs/income etc.

Follow the registration link which will be available on our website between 28 April and 10 June.

Step 2: Sort out what you want to sell. You can bring a wide variety of items for babies, toddlers and children up to 9 years old. For safety reasons there are some items we can’t accept, you’ll find a link in the sellers’ pack explaining what these are.

Step 3: Label your items and choose how much you want to sell it for. We’ve included guide prices in the sellers’ pack to help you.

Step 4: Deliver your items to the venue and leave us to sell them for you – you can volunteer on the day and no one will be able to identify which items you’re selling unless you tell them! Remember to come and collect any items that don’t sell on the day.

Step 5: Wait for the money to paid in to your bank account. This can take up to 4 weeks, the branch volunteers will aim to get your money to you as quickly as possible.

Being easy to do is just one reason to sell with us, here are a few more…

Why sell with us?

We do the selling for you which saves you time – yes you still need to label and price your items but there’s no standing behind a table looking hopefully at everyone walking past who might buy.

No haggling – the price is the price, you won’t be face to face with your seller asking you to lower the price.

Established and trusted sale – the branch has been doing sales for years and we have access to a formula that works across the whole of the UK and is backed up by systems and procedures that have been tried and tested at over 500 sales a year.

You donate to a charity that benefits families like yours – 100% of the commission you pay goes in to supporting NCT activities. Once the venue hire and other costs are paid the rest of the money from the sales supports local activities such as our children’s groups and sling library and the national campaigns including #HalfHidden to raise awareness of postnatal mental health. The sale is run by volunteers so more money can go to supporting our activities.

Gain some space back – it feels like book mates with each other and clothes multiply in the wash, if you need a bit more room for the new toys and clothes you need or just want some space for yourself then clear out the stuff that’s gathering dust.
