Bumps & Babes - We are looking for a new coordinator from April. We have plenty of volunteers on our rota who help set up, welcome parents and serve refreshments. However we need someone to organise the rota, plan any fun activities (such as our annual babies Xmas party) and generally lead the group. A good one for your CV perhaps!
In addition, we really need general volunteers able to help on an ad hoc basis & we also have some specific roles within the branch itself – see our Volunteering Vacancies.

The lovely Jenny said her farewells to the branch coordinator role before Christmas, handing over to our new coordinator Tania. For 4 years in her time as coordinator, Jenny has given time, energy and love to the branch and everything we do. Some particular successes included the fantastic jubilee tea party in 2016, as well as the way she has driven forwards the recruitment of new volunteers to continue to ensure the branch survives. Thanks Jenny!
Welcome & farewell
We welcome new volunteers! Deniz who has given her time, vehicle and arm muscles to helping us change storage facilities. Nikki who has brought her creative skills and unlimited enthusiasm to NCTeenies. Jackie who is doing a brilliant job at NCTeenies and providing much needed support.
We also welcome back Louise, Helen and Em, who are giving great support to organising the Nearly New Sale coming up in June and training up our new volunteers on the Nearly New Sale committee.
Debs, who joined us as a volunteer before xmas, has now fully taken over as Advertising & Publicity coordinator. She’s already made a huge difference since she joined, thanks Debs!
At the start of April we say a sad farewell and a huge thank you to Deepika, who has been coordinating our Bumps & Babes group, as she moves away with her family. She’s been passionate about making bumps and babes a wonderful, welcoming group for families with babies and will be missed. We wish her all the best for the future with her new home and studies.
And finally, Katie who has been responsible for the hire of our Valley Cushion, undertaken the role of Parent Support Coordinator & Membership Secretary, hosted many a welcoming Open House Coffee Morning and co-organiser of our Diamond Jubilee Tea Party has moved on to pastures new. Thank you Katie for all you have done over the past 5+ years!

Volunteering Vacancies

This role involves running our Bumps & Babes Group which runs every Friday morning at Staines Congregational Church Hall. You do not need to attend every week as you can work with other volunteers on a rota for the group.
Activities include working with the other volunteers to open the hall, setting out play equipment, greeting parents when they arrive & singing at the end. Tidying hall at close and clearing away all equipment.
Bumps & Babes Volunteer
Works with the Branch Bumps & Babies Coordinator & other volunteers to help at Bumps & Babes Group each Friday.
NCTeenies Volunteer
Works with the NCTeenies Coordinator to help out at our popular toddler group every Monday morning at Staines Congregational Church Hall. You would not need to attend every week as you can work with other volunteers on a rota for the group.
Activities include working with the other volunteers to open the hall, setting out play equipment, greeting parents when they arrive, hoovering, tidying hall & clearing away all equipment at the end.
Sling Library Coordindator & Volunteers
Helps out at the Sling Library which runs alongside our Bumps & Babes group on the 2nd & 4th Friday of every month. Volunteers will be provided with training, can be run monthly if that fits better with the volunteers.
Nearly New Sale Coordinator
Puts together a Nearly New Sale team from branch members and volunteers and works with them to organise Nearly New Sales.
