According to many articles and stories such as, “Mexico’s got a serious bullying problem. Blame the cartels?”, A 12 year old boy had been thrown against the wall by a group of bullies, and had died later that week. It has been found that Mexico has the largest amount of victims and stories of children getting bullied everyday, rather than in other countries and states. Lately, Mexico has been trying to figure out why bullying is so high there, and how they can stop it or slow it down, but they are having a lot of difficulties. Bullying happens everywhere but it happens a lot in Mexico, kids are dying and no one knows how to help the situation in any way.

Everywhere, all over the world there is some type of bullying. Bullying is something that we cannot ignore and that is very serious. It is where people of any age are continuously being put down or hurt by someone or a group of people. Out of country and state Mexico has the most rates and stories about bullying. In Mexico kids bully others in the worst and most horrible ways, that are so sad and shocking to hear. Many kids have been punched in the face, had chairs frown at their heads and many other horrible things. Even though you can find this all over the world Mexico is known for the most.

Bullying has gotten so bad in Mexico, kids and teens are dying and are getting terribly injured in many horrible ways every single day. The 12 year-old, Hector Alejandro Mendez was grabbed by his arms and legs and was swung, having his head banging against the wall by a group of bullies at his school. That same day he got home and told his mom about the assault and he was so injured they had to take him to the hospital right away. He then lost consciousness. A week in the hospital he passed away because the injuries on his head, created a bunch of severe bleeding in his head (Grillo,2014). This just does not happen just because there has be a real reason that kids and teens do this to others.

Over the years people all over the world, not just Mexico have been trying to figure out why kids have the slightest thought of being mean to others. Bullying happens everyday that Hector said “I think it was given less importance for many years. It was considered normal"(Becerra and Sanchez, 2014). Kids say that they think that it’s normal to them because it is something that happens so often they can imagine a day without it happening. Bullying like this is not normal, Bullying likes this needs to stop. After Hector had passed away from being bullied the president, Enrique Peña Nieto and many other organizations (OECD, SEP, and NEE) in Mexico are trying to put bullying to its grave.

Bullying happens all over the world but it happens a lot in Mexico, kids are dying and no one knows how to help the situation in any way. Kids being bullied is something that parents, teachers, friends and or yourself need to report or do something about because it should not be happening. If you ever see anyone being bullied the best thing is for you help and to tell about these things because people need to know these things. Bullying needs to stop and teachers need to do something about it, do not just sit back and watch. See, tell, save.
