I said, “Well, I guess we could start playing darts again.” She said, “Well that’s better than that stupid video game.” I told her, “Taylor are you sure about this? You know I will be trading one addition for another! You know if I start playing darts again what it will be like.” But we started playing and that’s how it is. I can’t get enough of it. Pacer: It sounds like you are the type of person who gives 100% to whatever you choose to do. It had to be a good feeling to know all that hard work paid off. That was one hell of a regional you had in Knoxville. Aurlin: It was a good weekend. It was a lot of fun. The BullShooter Regionals are everything I heard they were. One amusing story was that my wife got so nervous watching me play in the Men’s Singles final, that she actually had to leave the dart room. Aurlin and Gregory teamed up with Tabitha Foster in Mixed Triples at the Tennessee Regional and won the championship. Pacer: I’ll tell you, sometimes rooting can be more gut wrenching than actually playing. In fact darts can just plain be a very exciting spectator sport. Aurlin: I agree. Pacer: I’ll tell you, when you are throwing like that, you have a chance to beat anyone. You don’t have to be scared of anyone. Aurlin: It was a lot of fun. I have to thank Greg and Tabitha for being great partners, and my wife, Taylor, for letting me go (both laughing). Pacer: I get the feeling that darts are going to be a part of your life for a long time. Aurlin: I really am addicted to the game. Once I get that masters degree, maybe I’ll be able to travel more. I plan on 15 Aurlin teamed up with Gregory Fields and captured both Men’s Doubles and the Cricket Doubles championships at the Tennessee BullShooter Regional last January, 2015. keeping my game sharp and seeing what happens. So far it has been great, and hopefully it will only get better. Pacer: It had to take courage to return to school after all those years. Aurlin strickes me as a person who knows what he wants, and does everything he can to get it, whether it is in a class room or a BullShooter Regional! Pacer Aurlin took his fourth championship in Men’s Cricket Sinlges after defeating Bryan Langley in the championship match.
