The Conference explored several issues and themes on the dialogue of civilisations. There were two plenary sessions held. The first plenary session was co-organised with Professor Kai-Yuan Cheng from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan The theme was on “Chinese Civilisation in Taiwan: A Contemporary Reconstruction and Its Implication for a Dynamic Asia” and this session, participated by four professors from top universities in Taiwan, provided for an interesting intellectual discourse on the various aspects of Chinese civilisation.
