Visit from Heibei University
On 9 March 2017, Centre for Civilisational Dialogue (CCD) received delegates from Hebei University Research Center for Social Development of Islamic Countries. Among the delegates that were present include Professor Dr Saliha Bai Gui, the Head of He Bei University Islamic Country Society and Development Research Centre, Dr Yahya Jin Qiang, and Ms Fatimah Zhang Xin Yu who acted as the interpreter. CCD Director, Professor Dr Shakila Yacob, her deputy, Dr Rosilawati Zainol and CCD research fellow, Emeritus Professor Dr Shaharir Mohd Zain was also present. Both parties discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding to allow the following programs to be realised: students exchange, library resources exchange, research collaborations, organising seminars and conferences.
