William Turnbull, Celia Paul, Frank Auerbach and Lucian Freud.
This two part exhibition brings together a selection of the work produced at Studio Prints for other
artists, as well as presenting the distinct work of Dorothea Wight and Marc Balakijan. Exhibiting their
work together for the first time, it highlights their skill in the medium of mezzotint, for which they won
many international print prizes.
The exhibition acts as a retrospective for Dorothea, who sadly passed away in May 2013, and
celebrates the couples contribution to 20th century British printmaking.
Free Garman Ryan Collection Talks.

Artists’ Studio
They Are Here
Until 20 December 2013
They Are Here is a collective practice steered by Harun Morrison and Helen Walker. The duo have
worked together since 2005, often extending their collaboration to include others in the development
of an artwork or its delivery. They Are Here’s works can be read as a series of games that offer
alternative ways of engaging with a situation, history or ideology.
They Are Here will use the Artists‟ Studio to extend their ongoing enquiry into personal, collective and
institutional memory, taking the Garman Ryan Collection as a starting point for the creation of new
work. Drawing on the history of certain objects, the duo will explore the idea of „lost‟, forgotten and
damaged works, coming together with Gallery audiences to consider the more specific and personal
ways that loss might be manifested.
Look out for an invitation to interact with They Are Here during the months of November and
December.
