Back to contents Moxley prepares for some Christmas magic A magical Moxley Christmas is on the cards with a rock band set to raise the roof, a festive wreath making session and mince pies a-plenty. A week of events has been organised through the Moxley Community Hub, to appeal to all age groups, and Christmas lights will be strewn across Moxley People's Centre, funded through Darlaston and Bentley area partnership. The week will kick off on Monday 9 December with a presentation evening at the Boxclever session that has been running at Moxley People's Centre over the last few months. Former British and WBU Middleweight Champion Wayne Elcock has been running boxing taster classes for 11 to 17-year-olds and around 20 youngsters have been making the most of the chance to boost their fitness and confidence. Certificates will be presented to the sporty youngsters as well as a seasonal treat. Moorcroft Wood Primary School will host a drop-in session on Tuesday 10 December from 9am until 11am with coffee and mince pies on offer to all. Walsall Community Safety team will also be there to share winter advice. Moxley's Merry Movers and Shakers Group is open to parents and carers of babies and toddlers 0-4 years from 1.45pm-2.45pm on Thursday 12 December at Moxley People's Centre. Teen rock band Sunday 44 will be playing a free gig for young people at Moxley People's Centre as part of youth activities there from 6pm-8pm on Thursday 12 December.
