A study of the current and future impact of scientific and technological growth on the environment , society , and economy ; investigation of the problems of energy resources , population , and environmental changes ; the balance of the ecosystem and environmental protection that can lead towards sustainable development .
ISC 202 Man and Ecosystem ( 3 credits )
A study of the interaction between organisms and the environment by discovering the current ecological issues , for instance , global climate change , nature , population growth , invasive species , sustainability , habitat destruction , human influences which causes important consequences . The emphasis is on the principle concepts , theories , conservation , energy , ecosystem , factors influencing the structure of communities , other contemporary concerns and how those impacts are related to the sustainability of social and economic systems .
SECRETARIAL SCIENCE SE 453 Personality Development ( 3 credits )
Students learn to develop a desirable physical and mental personality in terms of style of dress , physical health maintenance , public appearance , habit and attitude development , human relations , business manners and protocol , including public speaking techniques , and those in attending business meetings and social gatherings , leadership skills and characteristics . Also emphasized is the development of a personality that is valued in the context of Thai culture .
STATISTICS IST 202 Business Statistics ( 3 credits )
A study of principles of statistics and their applications in business , the course begins with summaries and descriptive statistics ; introduction to a statistical computer package ; probability : distributions , expectation , variance , covariance , portfolios , central limit theorem ; and statistical inference of univariate data and bivariate data : inference for intrinsically linear simple regression models . This course covers a thorough treatment of multiple regression , model selection , analysis of variance , linear logistic regression ; and introduction to time series . Common statistical software packages will be employed to provide practical skills in statistics and other common packages .
IST 203 Statistics for Social Sciences ( 3 credits )
A study of the definition , scope and importance of statistics for social sciences research , data collection , frequency distribution and analysis , the measures of central tendency , the measures of dispersion , with the emphasis on the theories of sampling .
