Intermobile terminates CSS contract
Las Vegas-based Intermobile Container LLC has terminated all service and management contracts associated with CSS Alliance for Intermobile ’ s proprietary dry bulk container concept . Intermobile cited “ non-performance ” as the reason for terminating the agreements . A services and management contract between Intermobile and CSS Alliance LLC was entered into on 9 June 2015 under which CSS would manage and oversee the engineering and manufacturing of Intermobile containers ( see Bulk Distributor , Nov / Dec 2015 ). However , according to Intermobile , “ CSS Alliance did not perform the functions as detailed in the services and management contract to the satisfaction of the Intermobile Container LLC ’ s management team . As such , Intermobile Container LLC has exercised their right to terminate the agreement ”. Intermobile designed a bulk product container with top-load gravity feed for loading , and integral hoppers and pneumatic outlet for discharge . The design fits in a 20ft ISO frame with corner castings , effectively turning it into an intermodal unit . Intermobile ’ s website explains that the system reduces supply chain costs by eliminating the need for costly rail or road hoppers , as well as large-scale transloading infrastructure . In October 2015 CSS and its parent group Aperture Health , Inc issued a press release stating CSS projected 500 containers sold by the end of 2015 . At that time the company was said to be on the verge of signing three contracts ready for manufacturing as soon as UCC approval and final testing was given on the high cube ( HQ ) version of the container . According to Intermobile , the container design has a wide range of applications , from energy use – for example , transporting frac sand or fly ash – to agriculture , where it can be used to move fertiliser , flour , soy , corn and grains .

India company Amfico Agencies has struck a new agreement with Advanced Polymer Coatings ( APC ), for marketing representation of APC ’ s ChemLine coatings for the Indian market . The agreement was signed at the opening of the Chemspec India 2016 event in Mumbai . Amfico is headquartered in Mumbai and is well-networked in India , either directly or through agents in Kandla , Mundra , Pipavav , Delhi , Goa , Chennai , Vizag , Kochi , and Kolkata , as well as other parts of the Indian sub-continent , UAE and Saudi Arabia . Last year , the company celebrated its 50th anniversary since its founding in 1965 . According to Farhad K Cooper , managing director of the KB Cooper Group , which claims to have been instrumental in developing the tank container business in India , the country ’ s chemical market continues to grow and expand . “ There is an expanding need for special tank containers with superior protective linings such as ChemLine that can handle corrosive chemicals . These types of tank container offer higher value and produce greater revenue ,” he said . “ In addition , as Amfico Agencies starts to bring ChemLine coatings into other industrial markets beyond transport , such as power-generating facilities , chemical processing and tank storage depots , this will provide great benefit to the Indian industrial sector .” ChemLine can carry and / or hold more than 5,000 thousand different chemical cargoes including strong acids , alkalis , gases , solvents , oxidisers and many other liquids . It uses a patented polymer formulation that results in a highly cross-linked , virtually non-permeable coating that does not absorb chemicals . This allows for easy tank cleaning and switching of chemicals without the risk of contamination from previous chemicals stored . This ability to handle multiple chemicals provides for maximum utilisation of tank assets , says APC . Claiming superior bond strength and adhesion to metal substrates , composites and concrete , the ChemLine system is based on a multistep process that includes proper surface preparation and blasting , coating application , inspection , and heat curing . The coatings firm has appointed experienced applicators in India that understand the proper application of the coating , which is typically done in two steps , first as a base coat followed by a top coat . dense 3-dimensional molecular structure . ChemLine cross-links through an ether ( carbon-oxygen-carbon ) linkage . This eliminates high concentrations of hydroxyl groups ( found in epoxies ) and precludes formation of ester groups ( found in vinylesters ) that are subject to hydrolysis and acid attack . After curing , ChemLine has a smooth gloss finish that is easily cleaned . The system serves several functions : protecting equipment from leakage and corrosion , and when applicable , to protect the chemical and / other liquid contained inside to ensure product purity .
