Based in Caxias do Sul, Suretank Latin America worked in partnership with Advent Technology in Argentina to supply nine 10ft HH units to Techint for use on offshore oil & gas operations from the customer in the south of Argentina. The firm’s Brazilian manufacturing location has expanded operations to supply surrounding South American markets. The Mercosul agreement has given further justification for customers to take advantage of Suretank’s DNV 2.7-1 certified products which offer improvements in safety and longevity for businesses operating in the oil & gas sector. Speaking about the project, Marco Pfeifer, CEO of Suretank Latin America, said: “Suretank products are certified to DNV 2.7-1 for the offshore oil & gas sector. However, customers that extract from onshore locations can also benefit from the increased levels of quality and safety that our products provide to help them exceed their health and safety obligations. “The Mercosul agreement, which allows zero tax trade between members and associated countries has expedited this opportunity and we are working on other similar opportunities in Latin America.” Suretank offers delivery by truck in under one week from Brazil to Argentina and similar shipment lead times to other countries in Latin America. In Asia, Suretank has supplied globally certified CCUs to Thai Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering & Construction Corp (TNS) and Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co (NSENGI) for two separate rig projects. Suretank was chosen as the partner for the project due to the quality requirements dictated by the end user along with the capability to support Nippon operations in different regions. Both TNS and NSENGI required specific design and build capabilities that focused on specific operational requirements for each location. Speaking about the projects, sales manager Greg Bailey said: “These projects are perfect examples of what differentiates Suretank from our competitors. Suretank provided a design and build solution to specific Nippon operational requirements and offered a solution that included a number of technically specialist unit types. We were able to work in a consultative way with the customers and delivered despite the current commercial challenges of the oil & gas sector.” At the completion of the project both NSENGI and TNS commented that Suretank proved to be the right choice. Suretank delivered high quality units that were fit for purpose, meeting the tight delivery times required, they said. The firm, which is based in Lafayette, Louisiana, says the tanks can provide a cost effective transport and storage solution to agricultural and chemical manufacturers and distributors. “With the continued growth in the North American chemical industry and the diminishing availability of tanker trucks, our ISO tanks provide a much needed capacity solution to our customers having predictable and consistent shipping lanes,” said chief relationship officer Robert Kellner. “Our ISO service gives chemical and ag manufacturers and distributors what they expect and deserve from their logistics partner – reliability, predictability, innovation, cost effectiveness, and safety.” American PetroLog offers nationwide logistics services to bulk materials shippers. In the Dallas-Ft Worth, Texas area it has a BNSF- served transloading and storage facility. Other company locations include Philadelphia; Asheville, North Carolina; Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Houston and Venus, both Texas.
