10 Ways to Support

Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley

10. Read this newsletter and then share it with 10 friends. Seriously, that is the absolute easiest way to support HFHRV! Helping us to educate the public about what we do is MAJOR. And if you don't have 10 friends, that's okay too.

9. Shop at the Habitat ReStore! We're open to the public 6 days a week! Monday through Saturday, form 9am to 5pm!

8. Like us on Facebook! We have a Facebook account for affiliate news to keep you updated with what's going on on the work-site and in the office, AND we have a Facebook account for our ReStore to keep you updated on what's new at the store!

7. Donate to the Habitat ReStore! Our store takes all kinds of items from hardware to building supplies to even furniture! THEN, that money goes back into the mission of Habitat to build homes, communities and hope in the Roanoke Valley! You get rid of your stuff you don't need and Habitat helps another family escape substandard housing!

6. Arrange to provide lunch for our construction volunteers! Although we provide water, coffee and light snacks, we are not able to provide lunch on every build day for every work site. Currently, the Roanoke Valley Newcomers Club, Benny Marconi's (Downtown Roanoke), Wildflour Cafe at Towers and area Lutheran churches are our most avid lunch donors. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, [email protected], today to join them!

5. Join a committee! From working directly with Habitat families to extending church outreach to weighing in on decisions regarding the ReStore, there are many options for investing your time and effort into HFHRV!

4. Join the ReStore Team Volunteer Staff! The ReStore, just like the construction site, runs on the efforts of dedicated volunteers! From keeping things clean to processing donations, there's a little something for everyone.

3. Volunteer on your own or organize a group to come volunteer on the construction site or in the ReStore! 10 is an ideal group size for the construction site and 5 is best for the ReStore.

Contact [email protected] to reserve.

2. Join The Builder's Club. The Builder's Club is the dedicated core of volunteers that builds Habitat homes on a regular basis. These are the folks that come out at least once a week to lend a hand.

1. Make a monetary contribution. There are two things that keep HFHRV afloat: VOLUNTEERS and individual donations from people like YOU.

What will you build today?

Thank you for supporting HFHRV!
