housing into exciting homes
Architect, urbanist & landscape designer Tetrarc tackles an urban renewal project
in the heart of Paris.
THE RIVE SEINE project comprising a
secondary school and 110 apartments along
its southern edge, is part of a major urban
renewal project in the heart of Greater Paris.
The development is spread across 74 hectares
of land which used to be Renault factory lots.
On Rue Marcel Bontemps, four plots of
white buildings, with clean, sharp lines, rise
seven storeys above the ground to create a
deliberate effect. The interplay of the different
roof openings and levels break up the straight
lines of the building frontage.
