The Malaysia Property Award™ 2015 In the tradition of past ceremonies, the 2015 edition of FIABCI Malaysia Property Award™, the 23rd in the series, was no less an elegant affair, black tie et al, graced by the royal presence of His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Johor Darul Takzim, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, who also officiated at the awards presentation. In welcoming the royal guest and the assembly at large, FIABCI Malaysia President, YM Tengku Dato’ Ab Aziz Tengku Mahmud remarked that with“ creativity, competitiveness, innovation and sophistication”, the Malaysian property and real estate industry is“ advancing to international standards” – case in point, five winners at Malaysia Property Award™ 2014 scored with gold( three) and silver( two) wins at the FIABCI World Prix d’ Excellence Award hosted by Malaysia in May 2015.
Inaugurated in 1992 as the FIABCI Property Awards of Distinction or FIABCI Awards of Distinction, the coveted prizes not

only confer national prestige and industrywide recognition but also qualifies winners for a shot at the FIABCI International Prix d’ Excellence Award presented at its annual World Congress, scheduled in May 2016 at Panama City.
The Selection Process As far as FIABCI Malaysia is concerned, it is no mean feat to be rated the best of the best, considering the adjudication process that takes seven to eight months, governed at every stage by stringent rules and regulations. It begins with the nomination phase, where projects are received and studied by the Organising Committee for“ preliminary eligibility”. Qualified nominees are then scrutinised by independent teams of evaluators whose analysis reports, opinions and markings( scoring) are presented to the Committee for further analysis and determination of each project’ s merits. Subsequently, a jury panel short-lists the best three projects for consideration by independent judges whose decision is finally forwarded to the Independent Public Auditor for verification.
