The building and construction sector continues to progress with Bangkok
seeing the completion and launch of its tallest building in the country – the
MahaNakhon Tower, this year (pg 9). Over in Malaysia, Archidex 16 (pg 32),
the country’s largest trade exhibition for the architecture, interior design and
building industry just concluded with record attendance. In conjunction
with the event, the Malaysian Institute of Architects honoured outstanding
architectural and interior designs with its PAM Awards 2016 (pg 6) and you
can see the list of winning entries in this issue. Featured in this issue’s front
cover is 338 UThant, one of the silver award winners (multiple residential).
