Archidex 2016 attracts industry
professionals from around the region
The four-day event in Kuala Lumpur drew over 500 local and international exhibitors

MALAYSIA’S LARGEST trade exhibition
for the architecture, interior design and
building industry—ARCHIDEX 16—ended
successfully after running for four eventful
days from July 20 to 23 at the Kuala Lumpur
Convention Centre.
The exhibition, in its 17th instalment,
has drawn over 500 local and international
exhibitors with 1,200 booths. Among the
visitors were 34,300 industry professionals and
trade visitors from 70 countries representing
the region’s community of architects, interior
designers, developers, urban planners,
engineers and other professionals involved
in the vibrant building industry.
ARCHIDEX 16 was unveiled by Datuk
Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin, Deputy Minister
of Works, Malaysia. In conjunction with the
event, the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival
2016 (KLAF) was also launched. KLAF is
a city-wide celebration of architecture and
design that involves industry players and the
public with the introduction of a series of
interactive events including public lectures
and design showcases.
