News & Events Diabolo® floor coverings. granular materials, (c) mortar base of fine sand and (d) on top of these, placement of straight lines of Diabolos® floor coverings, secured by clips. In interspersing spaces between said lines, a unified mixture (of granular material and enriched garden soil) is poured / tamped down and, subsequently, seeded and watered for adapted grass to grow. Made of POLYAMIDE-6, abovementioned clips serve to keep the terracotta coverings in a straight line and, with mechanical resistance due to high module of elasticity, act as expansion joints. Further, these clips maintain gaps between lines (at 1.75cm), allowing but reduced mobility access and their anti-rotation and anti-lifting characteristics facilitate simple and fast system installation at a designed rate of 11 clips per m². Performance Parameters Test results from the Diabolo® profile report 20120724 (Source: CRED TERREAL) assessed the following performance levels against established standards: Test Standard Performance Level Flex Resistance EN 10545-4 >15Mpa (N/mm2) Shock resistance (steel balls DO, 5 kg) EN 10545 >3.5 joules Abrasion resistance EN 1344 EN 1344 V>100mm3 (class A2) Class FP100 Ageing due to frost/thawing EN 539-2 No deterioration after 300 cycles of frost/ thawing Resistance to slippage EN 1344 Class U2 (USRV>45) Water Absorption EN 10545-3 <12% 22 Building & Investment | www.b-i.biz Olivier Rober.
