The lessons learned presented in this annex were gathered by the authors on real projects spread across numerous organization types and business focus.

OBSERVATIONS OF WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN’ T WORK
ZT strategy and vision must be integrated from the top of the organization and be the message of the day to reduce the employee stress in change from legacy systems. There will be failures along the way as the organization learns the newer methods, but the message should always be no one is alone and we will be successful in the end.
What Doesn’ t Work
Executing ZT design and implementation over a short period.
What Does Work
ZT is an organization journey, not a sprint. Creating a proper long term ZT plan that includes strategy, vision, budget a risk based on replacement of legacy technology potentially used for 10s of years. Executing a ZT project based on proper time
