What Texas HOMEPAC and the Texas Association of Builders ' advocacy efforts have accomplished recently:
• Supported pro-housing candidates across Texas. During the most recent election cycle, HOMEPAC participated in 162 state races, with 97 % of the candidates it supported winning election, helping build a Legislature that understands housing issues.
• Strengthened the home building industry ' s voice at the Texas Capitol. HOMEPAC continues to support candidates who champion housing affordability, responsible growth, and policies that benefit builders and homebuyers.
• Protected the industry from harmful legislation. TAB reports a long record of defeating bills that could have increased costs, delayed construction, or created unnecessary regulatory burdens for builders.
• Helped advance legislation that benefits housing. TAB ' s government affairs program has successfully supported legislation that has resulted in significant savings for the residential construction industry— and ultimately for Texas homebuyers.
• Focused on housing affordability. HOMEPAC backs elected officials committed to expanding housing opportunities and reducing barriers that make homeownership less attainable.
• Built relationships with key legislative leaders. Contributions are strategically directed to lawmakers serving on influential committees and in leadership positions where housing policy is shaped.
• Helped maintain a pro-growth business climate. Through advocacy and political engagement, HOMEPAC works to preserve a regulatory environment that encourages investment, construction, and job creation across Texas.
