OUTLOOK ON THE SCENE
The August general membership meeting was the place to be on August 8 as both TAB President Don Allen and Dallas Fed Vice President Dr . Roberto Coronado came to speak . President Allen updated the crowd with information on the upcoming Texas legislative session for 2025 . He asked the members to get involved in particular because of all the new legislators elected . “ I want to thank the El Paso group for being committed to our mission and for representing El Paso so effectively .” Dr . Coronado then gave a report on where the economy is , where it might be going , and what to look for in the coming months . “ I can ’ t tell you for certain that we ’ ll see a big drop in interest rates , but something is coming ,” Dr . Coronado said . “ I can tell you that El Paso is in pretty good shape considering , but we will continue to monitor our area so that information going to Washington is accurate .” The meeting was held at Elmont , and over one
