What is University?

The most common answer to this
when we are asked about it would be, a
place where one goes to acquire higher
education. But that is very far away from
a logical answer because it gives rise to
further questions like what do we mean
when we talk about higher education?
Why do you need higher education to
describe ourselves as intellectual
individuals? And more importantly,
what greater purpose does this higher
education serve.

Come to think of it, the real purpose
behind everything is to find the meaning
of life. To be able to ask ourselves
questions like why do we exist and being
able to answer them. Of course, there’s
always the scope of looking at it from a
religious perspective and religion does
answer a lot of our unanswered questions
but to look at it from a more worldly
perspective, we need places. Places like
universities which will be able to
actualize our ever wondering, ever
