Love Unlocked by Libby Waterford A former art thief finds she cannot outrun her past when she moves to a new town, but discovers that love might unlock her future. A sexy painter with artist’s block holds the key to saving her skin; does he hold the key to her heart as well? A Featured Interview Tell us about your book. Love Unlocked is a sexy, suspenseful tale of how two damaged art lovers become each other’s salvation. An art thief and a painter might not seem like a perfect match, but when the thief inspires the painter to break out of his years-long artist’s block, and the painter helps the thief pull off one last job, they find that each might hold the key to the other’s happiness. What was your favorite part to write and why? Are there certain characters you would like to go back to, or is there a theme or idea you’d love to work with? I love the idea of good people doing bad things and how they can reconcile their past misdeeds with the kind of life they truly want to live. I firmly believe in second chances and forgiveness and it’s always a wonderful challenge to get my characters from the dark side into the light. That being said, I’m also a sucker for lighthearted holidays stories, and I’d love to try my hand at a Christmas tale one of these days. I had a blast writing about the fabulous treasures Eve, my retired art thief, has picked up in her travels. She has a crate full of priceless paintings that end up gracing the walls of her house. It was great fun to imagine impressionist masterpieces hanging on bathroom walls and old school masters showing up in guest rooms. Wouldn’t you love to have a Degas or Cézanne in your bedroom? What project are you working on now? I’m currently working on a trio of erotic novellas all set during the same reunion/commencement weekend at a liberal arts university. With my ten-year reunion coming up, it’s very much on the brain! 22 | www.BTSeMag.com Libby Waterford writes California-set steamy contemporary romances.
