The name “Baylor Dallas Transplant Team” does not adequately
describe the scope of care provided to patients. Patient Nancy
Kupper, a 42-year career nurse and associate professor of nursing
at Tarrant County College, will attest to that. Her story involves a
successful, complex surgery, accompanied by more than 10 years of
follow-up treatment and management — but no transplant.
