THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE
Of the many things setting the BSO apart from its peers , North Bethesda ’ s The Music Center at Strathmore is one of the best , and the BSO is America ’ s only major symphony orchestra with two full-time homes . In 2005 , the year Strathmore saw its first Gala performance , The Washington Post hailed it as “… the best place to hear an orchestra the Washington Area has ever known .” This season marks the 20th anniversary of Strathmore ' s opening .
