Wordsmith re-tells Stravinsky’ s gritty tale of love and temptation from the perspective of a Black American soldier during the Vietnam War. For the second half, Rune Bergmann has selected his own suite of music from Prokofiev’ s epic ballet, Romeo and Juliet.
