The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra ’ s inaugural concert at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on September 16 , 1982 , marked the dawn of a new era . The BSO opens the 2022-23 season with an evening befitting the 40 th anniversary of the Meyerhoff and the rich history of jazz in Baltimore .
In this exquisitely designed concert hall , Jack Everly kicks off a year-long celebration of his extraordinary tenure as Principal Pops Conductor . Joining the BSO will be a guest vocalist of today in a program that also pays homage to one of the greatest female vocalists of the past .
