• One of the things that Ivan is most proud of in his musical life is being able to share and instill the love of music in all three of his sons .
• He cherishes being physical , whether in sports and recreation or in his garden , as well as being able to immerse himself in nature .
• From Ivan : Beethoven ’ s Romance is a beautifully sunny piece , which is thought by some to have been part of an attempt to write a violin concerto ( he was only in his 20s !), before writing his monumental concerto 10 years later . It is in a Rondo form , where the main theme , with which the violin opens the piece without any introduction , returns several times in the piece , interspersed with some more brooding minor sections .
