Music Director Jonathon Heyward ’ s inaugural season captured the hearts of our community and the attention of media outlets locally and across the country . Thanks in part to featured articles and high-profile interviews on NBC News , Good Morning America , the Baltimore Sun , Time Magazine , The NY Times , Washingtonian and NPR , the world was ( re ) introduced to Jonathon ’ s story , the Baltimore Symphony , and the journey ahead in a major way through the power of earned media .
Social media continued to be a great opportunity to grow our audience and expand the BSO brand in the digital space by sharing BSO news , musician stories , and phenomenal music . For the 2023-24 season , the BSO reached over 500,000 users on Facebook alone , and our content on Instagram reached a growing base of engaged millennial and Gen X users .
