ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Born 1973 in New Brunswick , NJ
• Born in New Jersey , Leshnoff studied music in Baltimore earning both his bachelor ’ s and master ’ s degrees from the Peabody Institute and a Doctor of Music from the University of Maryland .
• Leshnoff has gained national recognition as a composer with commissions from Carnegie Hall , the Atlanta Symphony , the Philadelphia Orchestra , and more . Works by Leshnoff have been premiered by some of the world ’ s leading soloists , such as Gil Shaham , Manuel Barrueco , and Joyce Yang .
• The Grammy-nominated composer is among the most-performed living composers and continues to live in Baltimore , where he serves as a faculty member at Towson University .
