Finnegan Downie Dear
Winner of the Mahler Competition 2020 , Finnegan Downie Dear is increasingly recognized for his fine musicianship , his command of complex scores , and his intense and mature performances .
Following a week conducting the Bamberg Symphony in a variety of repertoire , the jury of the Mahler Competition were unanimous in their decision to award him the First Prize . He subsequently led a final concert which included the world premiere of Miroslav Srnka ’ s move 04 “ Memory Full ” and Mahler ’ s Symphony No . 4 , with soloist Barbara Hannigan .
Finnegan recently made concert debuts conducting the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra , Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra , Luxembourg Philharmonic , Korea Symphony Orchestra , Munich Radio Orchestra , Haydn Orchestra , Ensemble Resonanz , Klangforum Wien , the State Philharmonic of Košice , the BBC Concert Orchestra and the RTÉ National Symphony and Concert Orchestras . Future symphonic engagements include performances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra , City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra , Sinfonieorchester Basel , Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin , NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra , Melbourne Symphony Orchestra , and Sydney Symphony Orchestra .

Olivia Warburton is recognized as a captivating performer and versatile young artist on opera stages and in concert halls across the world . Born in the U . K ., Warburton graduated from the Royal Academy of Music , later studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne , the Mozarteum Salzburg , and the Georg Solti Accademia . This season

she is based at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar , Theater Erfurt , and Theater Altenburg Gera as a young artist .
Recent concert engagements include performances with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra , Bamberg Symphony Orchestra , and Shadwell Opera . She has worked with leading harpsichordists and conductors Laurence Cummings and Masaaki Suzuki on tour to Lincoln Center ; the Boston Early Music Festival ; and the Bach Festival , Leipzig .
A passionate recitalist , Warburton has made debuts at Wigmore Hall , The Queen ’ s Gallery , Buckingham Palace , and the Aldeburgh Festival . A Samling Artist and a Britten-Pears Young Artist , she is also the founder of Sunday at Six – an online concert series connecting audiences from around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic .
