Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Jonathon studied conducting at the Boston Conservatory of Music and London’ s Royal Academy of Music. In 2023, he was named a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music; an honour reserved for Academy alumni.

A multifaceted musician, Inon is equally celebrated as soloist, curator, and collaborator.
As a soloist, Inon has performed with the world’ s foremost orchestras and conductors including the New York, Los Angeles, London, Helsinki, Hong Kong, and Royal Stockholm Philharmonics, the BBC, Chicago, Cleveland, and Boston Symphonies, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra Symphony.
Inon’ s 2024 – 25 season highlights included performances with the Naples Philharmonic and the San Diego,
New Jersey, Pasadena, Boston, Tokyo, Israel, and Atlanta Symphonies. He continued his collaboration with cellist Alisa Weilerstein, with performances at Stanford Live and Celebrity Series of Boston and alongside James Ehnes at Wigmore Hall. Inon and Alisa released their highly anticipated album of Brahms’ Cello Sonatas, released by Pentatone in November 2024.
Equally at home as a curator and chamber musician, Inon is Music Director of La Jolla Music Society Summerfest. He regularly collaborates with world-class partners such as Renée Fleming and Alisa Weilerstein, and plays at major chamber music festivals including Seattle, Santa Fe, and Spoleto USA. Inon was a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’ s Bowers Program from 2006 to 2009 and continues to perform with CMS in New York and on tour.
Stefan Jackiw
Stefan Jackiw is one of America’ s foremost violinists, captivating audiences with playing that combines poetry and purity with impeccable technique. Hailed for playing of“ uncommon musical substance” that is“ striking for its intelligence and sensitivity”( The Boston Globe), Jackiw has appeared as a soloist with the Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco symphony orchestras, among others.
Last November, Jackiw released his recording of the complete violin
sonatas of Charles Ives with his longtime collaborator, pianist Jeremy Denk on Nonesuch. Of the disc, Alex Ross wrote in The New Yorker,“ Jackiw sets a new standard.”
A devoted chamber musician, Jackiw is the Artistic Director of the Hawaii Chamber Music Festival. In addition, Jackiw tours frequently with his musical partners, pianist Conrad Tao and cellist Jay Campbell, as part of the Junction Trio.
Jackiw has performed in numerous major festivals and concert halls around the world, including the Aspen Music Festival, Ravinia Festival, Caramoor International Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, New York’ s Mostly Mozart Festival, the Philharmonie de Paris, and Amsterdam’ s Concertgebouw.
Born to physicist parents of Korean and Ukrainian descent, Stefan Jackiw began playing the violin at age four. His teachers have included Zinaida Gilels, Michèle Auclair, and Donald Weilerstein. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, as well as an Artist Diploma from the New England Conservatory, and is the recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. Jackiw plays a violin made in 1705 by Vincenzo Ruggieri.
