Threads woven across Jonathon Heyward’ s second season as Music Director explored jazz, spiritual journeys, opera, and the virtuosity of the Orchestra, including three programs featuring BSO musicians as soloists and three concertos for orchestra.

A special March tribute to Duke Ellington featured the Peabody Conservatory Jazz Ensemble, pianist Cyrus Chestnut, trumpeter Sean Jones, and student performers from both OrchKids and BSYO.
