O
ne of the things I love about the
profession of landscape architecture is
that our projects can be wide-reaching,
encompassing many interrelated site
elements and requiring interaction with
many allied professions. Some of my initial
projects involved designing multifaceted
public park improvements, as Landscape
Architect for both the Worcester Parks
Department and Massachusetts State Park
system. This initial experience reinforced
my interest in understanding the complex
inter-dependence of various site elements as
part of the design process. It also fueled my
interest in working for a multi-disciplinary
consulting firm with a variety of site design
professions under one roof.
My career path has led me to multidisciplinary engineering firms where I have
served as director of Landscape Architecture
and Land Planning. In my current position
