It takes a well-designed team of volunteers to lead the BSLA membership. Our
group renews itself over time with new faces
supported by long-time loyal colleagues. It
is this passing of the torch to the next leaders
while being guided by those who came
before, that keeps our chapter balanced
and focused on goals and activities that
best serve our members.
Our Emerging Professionals set has grown
quickly in size and represents the ongoing excitement and passion of
individuals just embarking on their careers. With this new energy comes
open dialogue and a natural sharing of new endeavors and special
interests. New and returning members to the Executive Board keep BSLA
in line with the latest design trends and changing technologies of our
profession. Their fresh energy has helped us accomplish things that would
not otherwise be possible.
This enthusiasm is wisely balanced by the calm perspective of our more
seasoned members. BSLA is lucky to have very dedicated Past-Presidents,
Trustees, Fellows and long-term committee chairs that bring with them
institutional knowledge and a learned point of view. Their input and
guidance is necessary to preserve traditions and keep focused our
professional mission.
