Membership Natalie Adams, ASLA Committee Chair While our Chapter is named Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA), our members live and work throughout New England ... and the world. 65% of our membership hails from within I-495, 18% from MA outside I-495, 7% from Maine, and surprisingly, 11% from other states, Canada, China, and Mexico. With pride, membership boasts double the percentage of Fellows as the national average. This alone speaks to the successes of our firm’s membership. BSLA is fortunate to maintain a strong 629 membership, which is the third largest chapter in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). After the 2013 conference we could be number two! Proud to be the ASLA’s first chapter, we celebrate 2013, our Centennial year! Be sure to grab a button at the convention. Better yet, volunteer for our host booth and get the Ambassador button! Than k you ! Both the LaGasse Medal Winners (Landscape Architect and Non Landscape Architect) are in our Chapter area. Our communities must tackle so many problems – from decaying infrastructure to natural disasters, climate change and health epidemics. As we work to address these problems we need to make sure landscape architects are at the table.
