Membership
Natalie Adams, ASLA
Committee Chair
While our Chapter is named Boston Society of Landscape
Architects (BSLA), our members live and work throughout New
England ... and the world. 65% of our membership hails from
within I-495, 18% from MA outside I-495, 7% from Maine, and
surprisingly, 11% from other states, Canada, China, and Mexico.
With pride, membership boasts double the percentage of
Fellows as the national average. This alone speaks to the
successes of our firm’s membership. BSLA is fortunate to
maintain a strong 629 membership, which is the third largest
chapter in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
After the 2013 conference we could be number two!
Proud to be the ASLA’s first chapter, we celebrate 2013, our
Centennial year! Be sure to grab a button at the convention.
Better yet, volunteer for our host booth and get the Ambassador button!
Than k you !
Both the LaGasse Medal Winners (Landscape Architect and
Non Landscape Architect) are in our Chapter area.
Yes the Boston Society of Landscape Architects has been
successful this past year, thanks to your membership.

Your continued participation in ASLA/BSLA is important to
our effectiveness in communicating the value of what we do
to public policy makers, to allied design professionals, and
to the public at large. Our communities must tackle so many
problems – from decaying infrastructure to natural disasters,
climate change and health epidemics. As we work to address
these problems we need to make sure landscape architects
are at the table.
Maintaining your membership with ASLA will continue your
access to the latest news and trends in the industry—including
the award-winning Landscape Architecture Magazine. Which
you can now get digitally! With your membership, you can post
your résumé for free on JobLink, participate in The Field blog,
