Janet Echelman ’ s sculpture in Boston , As If It Were Already Here , floats gently above the Rose F . Kennedy Greenway with a shimmering lightness so different from the mass of the earth below . It does not touch the ground . Rather , it is parallel to the landscape , floating delicately above the commotion of people moving around below .
