Concord Academy Athletic Fields Concord , Massachusetts
Concord Academy is an independent preparatory school located in Concord , MA . The main campus is adjacent to the Sudbury River where seasonal flooding compromised the existing athletic fields . A site was purchased a mile from the main campus to develop a new athletic facility to meet the needs of the school ’ s athletic program . Previous farm operations had been abandoned and the disturbed site was in transition to retail development . The new site design restored and repurposed the property into an athletic complex that respects the site history , restores site ecology , responsibly manages storm water runoff and has become the new athletic core of the Concord Academy campus .
