The BSc degree programme in Natural Sciences
provides you with the opportunity to combine your
interests in up to three science-based subjects.
The interdisciplinary nature of this programme is
specifically designed to provide students with the
scientific skills and expertise, plus the perspectives
and problem-solving skills required, to address
complex problems in a changing world.
Students undertaking this programme will gain
a wide range of laboratory and field-based skills
relevant to the core science subjects chosen and
will also receive training and first-hand experience
in the design, execution and presentation of
independent research. The programme also
incorporates a broad range of transferrable skills of
value to employers including the ability to locate,
evaluate and make effective use of research
literature; and the ability to communicate complex
concepts and issues clearly and effectively to a
range of audiences using a variety of approaches.
