The 2017-2018 year marked a new era for the Bryn Athyn College athletic
program. Last summer the College became a full member of the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), paving the path for Bryn Athyn
College athletes to compete on a wider scale. Field hockey became the
College’s 14th varsity sport, with the women celebrating their first victory
(10-0) over the College of Notre Dame. Men’s ice hockey also transitioned
from a club team to Division III, winning their first game as an NCAA
program member in November 2017. In addition, seven teams made it to
NEAC championships in post-season play. This year, 20 student-athletes
were named to all-NEAC teams, with many of them earning special
recognition. Students excelled in the classroom as well, with 40 student-
athletes making the dean’s list (with a grade point average of at least 3.5).
