SnapCab Study Pod In September a new addition to the Bryn Athyn College campus was unveiled—or rather, built— under the curious eye of students studying in the library. A glass-walled study pod was erected within the span of only a few hours, situated on the main floor of the Swedenborg Library between the stacks and the public computers. This state-of-the-art pod was donated to the College by Glenn Bostock, CEO of SnapCab, a company that specializes in paneling systems. Just one of the innovative products that Glenn and his team provide to schools, museums, and businesses, the study pod is a generous gift that BAC students now utilize daily. This study pod allows students to work collaboratively and distraction-free in an open workspace environment that still provides the privacy needed to focus on the task at hand. The SnapCab pod is moveable and includes furniture, lighting, power, ventilation, a tempered glass door, and acoustic paneling to provide soundproofing. The mobility and size of these pods allows for an easy fit into possible future locations, such as the Doering Center, residence halls, and Pendleton Hall. Thanks to Glenn and SnapCab, the College now enjoys this beautiful and highly useful addition to campus! To see the study pod in person, visit the Swedenborg Library and take a look during business hours (brynathyn.edu/swedenborg-library). 38 | F A L L / W I N T E R 2 0 1 7 - 1 8 1940s 1990s Lois C.
