Bryn Athyn College Alumni Magazine Fall/Winter 2017-18 | Page 2
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
President Blair
recognizes
distinguished
alumna Becca
Smith (BA ’03)
at the Alumni
Reception during
Charter Day.
T
he 2017-2018 academic year has had a
very bright beginning. With a record-
breaking incoming class of more than
140 students, the College started the
new year with a brilliant fireworks display at the
season-opening athletics weekend in September.
In October, Charter Day attendees enjoyed warm
and sunny weather as they moved between recep-
tions, athletic competitions, art exhibits, concerts,
and more.
In this issue of the Bryn Athyn Alumni Maga-
zine you will find a review of some of these fall
events, spotlights on alumni, faculty, and staff,
and informative and engaging accounts of current
and historical happenings on campus. The trove
of accomplishments shared by the Bryn Athyn
College network seems to grow with every pub-
lication as we unearth bygone stories and report
recent achievements.
I am delighted to be able to connect with you
through this magazine, and I invite you to come
visit the College in person if you have the opportu-
nity. There are a number of upcoming events that
our alumni and friends can experience on campus,
online, and in various regions of the country (visit
brynathyn.edu/events to learn more). It is a plea-
sure and a priority to continue growing a dynamic
and thoughtful relationship with you. Thank you
for being a member of the Bryn Athyn College
family.
Sincerely,
BRIAN BLAIR
