Dear Brute,

My name is TeeTee, and I’m from DC. I am an aspiring singer who wants to branch out from DC to get my career started. I don’t know exactly how to do that. I want to be the next beyonce. I can also dance. Can you help me out?

Hello TeeTee!

I think you should start singing at the local clubs in the DC area, just to get your name out there since that’s where you are from. That’s where you would get the best feedback for your career, whether if it’s good or bad. Try getting in the studio to start recording your songs, and then call your local radio station to get your music on their show. You must get out, and network. Get out, and meet new people. Maybe you should relocate, and start in a different city. Good Luck!

Wassup my name is D, and I’m from Orlando Florida. I play the drums on my spare time. I would like to play the drums as a career, but I don’t know how to start that career. Is playing the drums a good career? If so how can I start? Whats the T?

Hey D,

First of all playing the can be a career if you’re playing for a band. Playing in a famous artist’s band, where you would travel with them might be a way to start your drumming career. If you talking about playing for a band in your area, then no. There’s no way you can make that into a career. Celebrities will pay you some good money, simply because you would be on the road with them often. Good Luck!
