Olivia Opella 20 Class of 20 world... I’ll tell the “It is time for some common sense to kick in.” What do you want to tell the world about Mrs. Stuckey? No matter what, she does her best to care for her students and plan fun events for the students to participate in. Favorite Memory: During squad leader camp, we went to the DCI competition and I shared my big bucket of popcorn with her while she told me about her favorite bands participating at the event. Admire Most: Her enthusiasm because it is really evident in her teaching and it is what makes band fun and enjoyable. What do you want to tell the world about this student? Olivia is hardworking and has a great sense of humor. She can appear shy, but has a quiet strength that shines out, sometimes unexpectedly. And Olivia has always had her own sense of “self” and never tried to imitate or be one of the “crowd.” Olivia plans to attend UT Tyler and major in biochemistry. Fun Fact About Olivia: I want to write a novel based on stories from my travels. Favorite Memory: One of my favorite memories was when she dressed up as me for a dress up day during homecoming week. She carried a coffee mug with one of my favorite sayings: “You’re killing me smalls!” I still have the mug on my desk. And she usually helps replenish my never ending supply of “Stuckeymints.” Olivia, To see this e-mail was unexpected. I am honored to be your choice for most influential teacher. I have enjoyed watching you blossom over the years both as a musician and as a person. I hope you keep your sense of self. It’s one of my favorite things about you. You are unapologetically your own person and are not afraid to be yourself. I wish you all the best after graduation. Love, Mrs. Stuckey
