Hope Kaufman

Hope is a kind and dedicated student who rises to new challenges.

Ms. Litowitch

When it comes to hope for the Girls Varsity Soccer team, they are not lacking in that area due to the “hope” that Hope Kaufman brings to each game. She dominates the field by setting up each play, specializing in passing. It’s as if she was born to be a Midfielder. She started playing soccer at the age of six and is no stranger to field. She has played every position in the game, with teams like Southern Soccer Academy, Drew Charter School, and currently at the Pebblebrook High School.

Words From the Staff

“I have had the pleasure of teaching Hope Kaufman in AP English Language & Composition this semester. Hope is an excellent student and a serious scholar. She approaches each task, despite the difficulty, with optimism and grace. She is helpful of her peers, compassionate in her approach to group work, and pragmatic about her goals.” – Mr. Sager

“Hope always came to class prepared and ready to learn. I never had any issues with behavior while she was in my class...ever! She was one of the most mature Freshmen that I've ever taught. I know she's destined for great things!” – Mrs. Shaw

The forward is the glamour position in soccer, but Isbela “Bella” Garcia makes Pebblebrook soccer team look amazing. Bella has been playing soccer since the age of 6. Since she is a well-rounded player, she excels in attacking mid, holding mid, and right/back position. Playing for teams such as Chicago stricker, YMCA strickers, and currently a Varsity player at Pebblebrook High School since her 9th grade year. Bella truly embodies the theme of making against all odds as motivation to remain consistent and to work hard each and every day.

Words From the Staff

"Isbela is one of the sweetest students I've taught. She always tried her hardest in my class and if there was ever something she didn't know, she didn't hesitate to ask. That's one thing I honestly admire about her. She's the type of student who truly does make your day when you see her."

–Mrs. Shaw

"The secret is to believe in your dreams; in your potential that you accomplish anything through the Christ strength in you, keep believing and don’t lose faith in yourself. Hard work beat talent, when talent isn’t working hard but hard working talent wins every time. We love you Bella."
