In high school he was considered one of the 50 top QBs in the state. He passed for 1,562 yards and ran for 1,025 yards as a senior, ringing up 4,356 career passing yards. He still wears the number 1 on his Jersey after high school. Quarterback Dezmon Huntley is still showing up and showing out.
He attended The University of West Alabama straight out of high school and immediately made an impact on the team. In one game against, what would soon become his new team, he was named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' 34-8 win over Cumberland University. He ran 85 yards and a TD on 10 carries. He also completed all four passes he threw for 100 yards.
Dezmon transferred after his freshman year to Cumberland University. In 17 games between 2016 and 2017 he passed for 2584 yards and
18 touchdowns. His rushing yards were 1436
