POWER
he 2018-19 season ended on a good
note. Under the direction of head
coach Anton Banfield, the Falcon boys
varsity soccer team finished with a record of 16-4 overall and 5-0 regionally giving them the Regional Championship title. "Winning the regional championship was a goal set by the team," said Coach Banfield. "I am very proud of them, and believed they could acomplish it. We are very excited for us as a team."
With only seven seniors, in the lineup this season, the Falcons are in a great position to be just as successful in the upcoming 2019-20 season. "I have been very fortunate to always have a great group of young men on the soccer team." Coach Banfield says that there is something special about this group of guys. They not only enjoy playing the game but they enjoy playing with each other and their soccer IQ is second to none. "This has been an enjoyable coaching season," he stated. " I am truly proud of the character of this team, these young men have shown they have the qualities of a championship team."
