I've been through too much to NOT succeed!
The journey began long ago, when young Marquise Cooper was barely of school age. He was throwing balls, shooting balls and hitting balls . He was only five years old when he first picked up a football. And although he has played both basketball and baseball, it's clear that football has taken a front seat.
Marquise is described as being an "impressive all around athlete" and was considered to be one of the most consistent passers at the Georgia Elite Classic camp this past summer. He was named as the GA Elite Classic MVP at the QB position.
He is a great leader for his team and he says he owes that quality to his coaches. "My coaches have taught me how to overcome adversity and how to be a better leader," he said. He has helped to lead his Falcon team to the playoffs two years in a row, and now as a senior the 6'3" quarterback says he's ready to enter the next phase of his dream...playing football in college. Will he be at the QB position in college? For him he says it doesn't matter. He just loves the game of football.
