Extract from Brookland Gossip Edited by Lloyd Young I was putting together my new golf bag buggie at the back of my car. The next gossip said maybe a baby was expected at number 78. I had an unhappy experience of being sick over the toilet and accidently pressed the toilet button. I lost my top dentures. The gossip said, “look before you press.”
New Year’s Eve Party By L. Mackay For many years Brookland celebrated New Year’s Eve with a party. Many residents attended and joined in the fun. We celebrated till midnight when we joined handed and wished all and one a happy new year. Everyone enjoyed dancing, competitions, games and a lot of goodies. Ian Mackay ran this evening for many years and the tradition is kept alive today with Bree Smith as compadre.
