Boys will be boys Each year Alec Smith would have a new idea for the Christmas party. Santa Claus arrived in a sleigh pulled by two men and he made a horse head to finish it off, to make it look real. After new year, Alec and Ian Mackay thought they would have some fun. A barrier wall had been built along McCullough Street to break the noise for the residents, so Alex put the horse’s head on a long pole and put it on top of the wall. Ian Mackay and “avid photographer,” went outside to film. Alec would neigh as he walked along inside the wall and it caused quite a stir. It was unusual to see a horse walking along a high wall and it being photographed. Cars stopped, horns tooted while Ian was being very busy. It came to the attention of the manager and he hurried to see what was happening. Our two “heroes” scurried off in a hurry and we are not really sure if he knew who the two culprits were. L.
